Rebecca Smith is working as an assistant for Dr. Susan "Lee" Hughes in Growth Lab 2 stationed at Killian University. Rebecca is called into the lab by Dr. Hughes to assist with an experiment by flipping a power switch. Before heading over to flip the switch Rebecca notices some chocolate candies on Dr. Hughes' desk and eats one before Dr. Hughes has a chance to warn her. Rebecca immediately begins to grow after ingesting the chocolate, and is promptly informed by Dr. Hughes that no known cure exists yet to stop the growth.
