Colette uses Crystal as the catalyst for a new energy weapon in GLA and with Naomi's generator power is able to send a beam and start an outbreak all the way at Killian University.

Colette Marceau states that Crystal Manning's energy is the perfect catalyst and when combined with Naomi Furihara's energy will create the perfect energy beam. Colette states the goal is to fire a growth beam directly into Killian to trigger an outbreak. Alexander Dunn, Karen Summers, and Luna Masters approach Growth Lab Zero (Alpha) in a tandem rotor helicopter to set a relay to transfer energy back to Killian A.F.B. Naomi, Crystal and Trisha Hubert begin to grow, under the impression from Colette that doing so will allow their energy to be drained again. Both Karen and Alexander also grow, destroying the portable relay in the process, so the energy flowing to Killian A.F.B. is completely unfiltered. Luna detects an energy surge and Hannah Stromberg begins to grow back at Killian A.F.B. Colette gives Vivian the go ahead to grow, which she does, and the growth beam is charged. It fires on Killian, and we see the effects occur at Killian University where Mika Furihara grows as well as Profesor Sherman.
