Luna, Naomi and a group of other base personnel are sent to a high level decom silo and find themselves growing on the way when their van gets a flat tire and the energy damper designed by Trisha begins shorting.

Luna Masters is in the bus being transported by Trisha Hubert and Alexander Dunn to a high level decontamination silo with Karen Summers, Naomi Furihara, and Hannah Stromberg. A flat tire forces them to stop on the road to change the tire and while Hannah is replacing the tire the portable damper starts to overload. Luna's attempts to reroute the energy back to the base and reconfigure the system are unsuccessful. Alexander drives the bus on leaving Hannah, Trisha, and Karen behind until they grow out of the bus. Three jets scrambled by Bill Riggs and Olivia Carter too decom the crew.
