Naomi is brought onto the Luxembourg spaceship by Luna in an attempt to collect all of Ultima's stored energy. After the ship's storage is overloaded a growth outbreak occurs, allowing Naomi to break out of the ship and commence colossal growth in space (much like Luna in GL#12) while Luna escapes back to Killian Air Force Base on Earth.

Luna Masters accompanies Naomi Furihara to the Luxembourg to begin the operation to detonate Ultima Montgomery into space. The crystal converter on the Luxembourg is used to filter Naomi's energy and fire an energy beam at Ultima to get her to detonate. Ultima detonates and the Luxembourg attempts to absorb the energy blast but the storage tanks fill up and outbreaks begin to occur on the Luxembourg. After prodding by Naomi Luna begins to grow as well. Both Naomi and Marsha Robbins grow big enough to break out of the Luxembourg and Luna evacuates on a Shuttle to head back to Killian A.F.B.
